My focus is simple: address your concerns + improve and advocate for women’s health through pelvic health physiotherapy.
While completing my master’s program and learning about this area of physical therapy, I realized there was a large gap between the available treatment options and the awareness of these options. Read more about various pelvic health conditions here.
I take a whole-body integrative approach to health - this means I treat the body as a whole system. This includes assessing your history, your current concerns and your goals, as well as, sleep patterns, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management.
My goal is to educate women about their options and the concerns a pelvic health physiotherapist can help with. I believe it is important to build an effective client-provider relationship through trust, comfort, and communication, with an ultimate goal of creating an appropriate, evidence-based plan to address your needs.
I would love for you to reach out so we can chat further!
On a personal note:
One of the reasons I am passionate about women’s health is in part due to my own experiences. I was diagnosed with two large tumours on my ovaries, which caused one ovary to torsion, and ultimately led to the need for two surgeries and multiple rounds of hormone injections for IVF procedures to try to prevent the risk of infertility down the road. I can relate to what it feels like to have to advocate for your health, be vulnerable with a healthcare provider and trust in their care.
As a healthcare provider for others, I do not take my work lightly. I understand that you are coming to me with an issue that is negatively impacting your life and I will work with you to address that.
